A Brief History of the Idaho Old Time Fiddlers

In 1963 a celebration was to be held in observance of the first hundred years since Idaho became a territory. Governor Robert E. Smylie appointed Mannie Shaw of Coral and Blaine Stubblefield of Weiser to the Idaho Territorial Centenial Committee; their job was to organize all the fiddlers for the purpose of providing appropriate music to play in community observances around the state. A meeting was held in Weiser to get the organization started. The Idaho Old Time Fiddlers Association (IOTFA).
